On October 5, 2025, during the Ukrainian Premier League match at the Valeriy Lobanovskyi Stadium in Kyiv, children who were returned from deportation or rescued from temporarily occupied territories will step onto the field hand in hand with the players of FC Dynamo Kyiv. This symbolic moment will mark the club’s official joining of the President of Ukraine’s Bring Kids Back UA initiative, aimed at returning Ukrainian children home.

Before the match, the children who survived deportation will walk alongside Dynamo players — a powerful reminder of one of the greatest tragedies of the war: the abduction of Ukrainian children by Russia. Today, around 1.6 million Ukrainian children remain under the control of the aggressor state, while 1,656 children have already been brought home thanks to the efforts of the state and international partners within the framework of Bring Kids Back UA.

By joining the initiative, FC Dynamo Kyiv seeks to make children the main heroes of the story of return — providing them with opportunities for rehabilitation, emotional recovery, and a sense of belonging through sport. The club will also use its powerful platform to raise awareness among millions of fans about the ongoing issue of child abductions.

“For us, football has always been more than just a game. Above all, it is a responsibility to our society and our children. We will do everything we can to help bring Ukrainian children back home, because they are the future of our country. We firmly believe: children should grow up at home — in their own country, with their families, under a peaceful sky,” — Dmytro Brif, General Director of FC Dynamo Kyiv

The event is part of the broader reintegration efforts under Bring Kids Back UA, which help children regain trust, stability, and a sense of normal life through safe interaction, play, and community engagement.

Through this collaboration, Dynamo Kyiv reinforces that football is not only about competition — it’s about solidarity, hope, and humanity. The club’s commitment sends a clear message: every child deserves to come home and grow up in peace.
