The United States Senate has passed The Abducted Ukrainian Children Recovery and Accountability Act — bipartisan legislation aimed at helping Ukraine locate, return, and rehabilitate children abducted by Russia during its full-scale invasion.
The Act, introduced by Senators Amy Klobuchar and Chuck Grassley, strengthens U.S. support for Ukraine’s efforts to investigate the abduction of tens of thousands of Ukrainian children, assist in their rehabilitation and reintegration, and ensure justice and accountability for those responsible for these war crimes.
The bill was adopted as part of the National Defense Authorization Act for 2026. It will now move to the House of Representatives for a vote. Once signed by the U.S. President, it will become federal law — requiring American institutions to provide practical support to Ukraine in tracking, returning, and restoring the rights of abducted children.
This step is another strong signal of U.S. solidarity with Ukraine and its commitment to justice. We are deeply grateful to Senators Amy Klobuchar and Chuck Grassley, and to all members of the U.S. Senate, for their leadership and support in the fight to bring every Ukrainian child home.
