The U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee has unanimously supported a bipartisan bill that could label Russia a State Sponsor of Terrorism if it fails to return abducted Ukrainian children.

The legislation, led by Senator Lindsey Graham and co-sponsored by Senators Richard Blumenthal, Katie Britt, and Amy Klobuchar, aims to increase political and economic pressure on Russia until every Ukrainian child is home.

If adopted, the U.S. will officially recognize Russia as a State Sponsor of Terrorism alongside Cuba, Iran, North Korea, and Syria, leading to full international isolation of its regime.

The bill will now move to the House of Representatives before being signed into law by the U.S. President.

We thank our American partners for their unwavering support. The return of abducted Ukrainian children must remain at the heart of a just and lasting peace.
